Tucked just off the Intracoastal Waterway near Birch State Park, Sunrise Bay is one of Fort Lauderdale's best-kept secrets for eFoiling. The bay's protected layout shields riders from ocean swell and the heavier boat wakes that churn up the main channels, leaving you with the kind of glassy, predictable water that eFoils were practically designed for. It's wide enough to lay down long carving turns and link runs without feeling boxed in.
Depth is generous throughout — plenty of clearance for the wing — and the surrounding residential canals keep wind disruption to a minimum, especially in the early morning when the surface tends to go mirror-flat. That makes Sunrise Bay especially appealing for beginners still dialing in their balance, while more experienced riders will appreciate the open space to push speed and practice transitions. Boat traffic exists but is manageable, particularly outside of weekends and holidays.
