Lauderdale-by-the-Sea delivers open Atlantic eFoiling with a laid-back, old-Florida feel — a refreshing change from the busier launches in Fort Lauderdale proper. Head to the southern end of town, where the beach narrows to its slimmest point, making the haul from car to surf much easier with a heavy board and battery.
Conditions favor riders past the beginner stage. Gentle swell lets experienced foilers pump and glide in ways flat inland bays can't match, and glassy summer mornings open up long, smooth runs along the shore. The water is notably clean, and an offshore reef means you're often foiling over visible coral and fish.
For advanced riders, Anglin's Pier offers a bucket-list move: crossing perpendicularly underneath it, ducking between the pilings and popping out clean on the other side. It demands sharp board control and awareness of anglers' lines above — strictly for those who know.
